We are currently seeking an Experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our Southern Ontario Surface Water Team, based in our Mississauga, ON office. In this role, you will contribute to technically complex, multidisciplinary projects across Canada and internationally. You will support senior consultants, mentor junior staff, and help deliver innovative water-related solutions in the mining sector.

What you can expect to do here:
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, water balance studies, dam breach analysis, and water quality assessments.
- Lead or support the design of water diversions, control structures, and stormwater management systems.
- Contribute to baseline and impact assessments for permitting and regulatory approvals.
- Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing across the team.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement and contribute to project planning and execution.
- Work on high-profile projects such as mine water management, closure planning, and hydrotechnical design.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in water resources engineering, ideally in consulting.
- Valid P.Eng. designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain it.
- Strong technical skills in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM).
- Experience with 2D/3D modeling tools (e.g., MIKE 3, CORMIX) and water balance software (e.g., GoldSim).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Bonus Assets:
- Experience in mine water management and environmental permitting.
- Field experience in streamflow monitoring and water quality sampling.
- Familiarity with Indigenous engagement and stakeholder consultation.
