A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.

Purpose-led work you'll be part of

As a Economics and Policy Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop and facilitate ongoing relationships with influential government officials • Prepare for and participate in meetings with government officials aimed at enhancing the profile of PwC in general and the Economics & Policy Practice in particular within the Federal Government • Collect ongoing intelligence on emerging issues within the Federal Government and identify those that may provide opportunities for the Economics & Policy Practice • Follow new RFPs from the Federal Government and lead/participate in developing responses to such RFPs • Lead or participate in the delivery of studies for the Federal Government • Actively drive the expansion and enhanced market presence of PwC in the Federal Public Sector and beyond • Support the team in developing and delivering innovative service offerings aimed at public sector clients • Seek opportunities to bring together multi-disciplinary teams that provide clients enhanced economics and policy solutions and insights

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• Experience in conducting economic analysis and/or public policy associated with the Federal Government and its agencies is an asset • In-depth knowledge of the Federal Government's structure and operations • A network of connections with Federal Government's officials • A Master's degree in economics and/or public policy related fields • Fluent in English with French working capability will be considered an asset • Demonstrable experience of credibility with senior stakeholders in meetings or presentations • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard • 10-20% of limited travel within Canada and/or internationally may be expected
