The Opportunity:
WSP is seeking an Earned Value Specialist to support our Construction & Remediation Operations within the NSDF. In this role you will manage project cost data and perform EVM analysis, including forecasting and scheduling. You will have the opportunity to prepare and share reports, collaborate with teams, and recommend corrective actions.

A day in the life:
- You will manage the collection and organization of project cost data.
- You will conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis for assigned projects, evaluating cost and schedule performance against baseline plans.
- You will manage project forecasting, project baseline, and progress schedules, with input from the project team.
- You will prepare and distribute regular EVM reports, dashboards, and presentations to project stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas requiring attention.
- You will collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure they understand EVM data and can make informed decisions based on the analysis.
- You will identify, analyze, and report on cost and schedule variances, and recommend corrective actions to bring projects back on track.
- You will analyze Earned Value (EV) trends and produce regular forecasts of EV performance and issues for Project Manager review.
- You will maintain an awareness and understanding of the various business systems utilized across the business - BST, Web Now, etc.
- You will maintain accurate and organized EVM records and documentation for internal and external reporting purposes.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Project Management, Engineering, or Economics.
- Five (5) years of experience in project controls and earned value, supporting the construction industry.
- Solid experience executing planning activities in accordance with current policies and procedures with working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Strong experience utilizing an EV engine such as Ares Prism or Cobra.
- Ability to compile detailed reports in narrative, graphical and tabular format, ensures that end of project statistics and client reports are provided in a timely, concise, and accurate manner.
- Landfill/Remediation/Civil/Water Treatment construction experience would be an asset.
- Certifications such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE International's Earned Value Professional (EVP) is a plus.
- Eligible for CNL Reliability Status security clearance (to be eligible, individual must have 3 full years of current verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia).
