Job Description

Location: Canada (remote / hybrid)
Type: Part-time, senior appointment
Industry: FinTech / Digital Assets / Payments

We are a Canada-based FinTech company operating in the digital assets and payments space. We are establishing and maintaining a Canadian Money Services Business (MSB) presence and are seeking a qualified and reliable additional Local Director / Responsible Person / Board member  to expand the management structure and further  support governance, regulatory alignment, and stakeholder engagement in Canada.

The Role

As Director and authorised representative, you will hold a senior administrative and oversight role for our Canadian MSB. Your primary objective is to ensure that the company’s Canadian operations are properly governed and aligned with both regulatory expectations and group standards. This is not a sales or operational execution role, but a governance, oversight, and regulatory-facing position, suitable for an experienced professional seeking a part-time leadership appointment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Director / Responsible Officer for the company’s MSB activities in Canada.

  • Support the registration, maintenance, and ongoing compliance of the Canadian MSB (FINTRAC).

  • Serve as a local point of contact for regulators, banks, payment partners, and professional advisors when required.

  • Work closely with the group’s management, compliance, and legal teams to ensure Canadian requirements are met.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and professional responses to regulatory, banking, and partner inquiries.

  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting MSBs, virtual currency dealers, and payment flows in Canada.

  • Provide high-level oversight to ensure Canadian activities remain consistent with the company’s global compliance framework.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Based in Canada with the ability to act in a director or senior responsible capacity.

  • Experience in financial services, payments, compliance, fintech, or digital assets is strongly preferred.

  • Comfortable interacting with regulators, banks, auditors, and external stakeholders.

  • High integrity, reliability, and attention to regulatory detail.

  • Able to operate independently while collaborating with international teams.

  • Previous experience as a director or senior administrator is an advantage.

What We Offer
  • Senior, part-time leadership role with flexible time commitment.

  • Opportunity to work with an international FinTech group operating across Canada and other jurisdictions.

  • Long-term opportunity as the Canadian business grows.

Application closing date is 2026-04-17
