Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Growth & Performance Marketing, the Director will be accountable for supporting the execution of an enterprise-wide Digital Marketing strategy to drive leadership in the Performance Marketing space and growth in New Client Acquisition, Cross-sell, and Digital Engagement. This role requires a strong leader, strategic thinker, an innovator, a focus on operational efficiency, and marketing technology aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Digital Marketing campaign strategy and execution to maximize profitable revenue growth on the Tangerine.ca marketing and authenticated site, and mobile app
• Lead / direct a cross-functional team of 25 marketers, analytics leads, content leads and developers to execute Digital Marketing campaigns, leveraging an Agile Marketing approach
• Continuously develop, improve, and simplify strategies and agile methodologies to ensure marketing campaigns are delivered with the highest efficiency and effectiveness to drive peak campaign optimization, while maintaining integrated client experiences and reducing error rates and client irritants
• Build relationships with internal and external partners to leverage a "one-team" approach to develop new opportunities and identify and prioritize channel strategies to simplify their business, and drive digital adoption and revenue growth, leveraging best practice Digital Marketing capabilities through agile execution
• Understand the end-to-end client journey and uncover insights to optimize the digital marketing funnel through incremental change and influence the technology roadmap, where required
• Manage digital marketing execution calendar and keep stakeholders up-to-date on campaign milestones throughout year
• Integrate new tools into a suite of Digital Marketing capabilities to further extend personalization capabilities
• Represent Growth & Performance Marketing team at Executive meetings, product innovation workshops and other internal partner audiences to showcase and walkthrough strategy, roadmap and insights
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of professionals to ensure individual and business goals are achieved and/or exceeded. This includes attracting, aligning, motivating and retaining team members with the competencies to meet present and future business goals in the highly competitive market for talent across online and mobile. Apply Digital and Agile people management best practice to ensure best-in-class recruiting, development and retention
• Represent Tangerine on related forums, associations and industry groups as required

Skills:

• Experience executing end-to-end digital marketing campaigns from developing campaign strategy to building campaigns to measuring performance, across most digital channels including paid media, marketing and authenticated digital-owned channels, and email/push notifications.
• Strong experience in any of Adobe, Salesforce, Google or marketing automation platforms is desired
• Experience leading cross-functional agile marketing teams, applying both operational efficiency and performance marketing principles
• Proven ability to develop innovative strategies and stay current with marketing trends
• Demonstrates strong and effective project management and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical background with an ability to extract insights and provide data-driven recommendations
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple business priorities as well as product campaigns simultaneously
• Strong collaborator and can work with various teams around a common vision
• Strong understanding of marketing and the digital landscape
• Solid understanding of performance marketing channels, technology, and data
