Reporting to theVice President, PAC Insurance & Insurance Partnerships, the Director will be responsible for streamlining the Digital strategy deployment with the countries to ensure the accomplishment of the PAC (Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia) Insurance goals.

That includes managing a Target insurance digital - operational model governance and a multi-country Digital project management , identifying the most strategic initiatives with the country teams, and supporting the creation and execution of the plans for implementation. Standardizing the Target Digital & Operational model and assess evolution with strategic partners across PAC countries. Globally supporting the implementation of insurance in all the digital platforms maximizing the cross sale and the Next best offers with the innovative customer value proposition development by bringing global best practices into an integrated bancassurance methodology inclusive of an optimized analytics strategy. They will provide oversight to the insurance digital transformation, aligning roadmaps and investments in PAC countries and with our strategic partnerships and Ensure business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Accountabilities:

  • Program Management
    • Create, deploy, and manage the Digital project management governance for the Insurance roadmap with the PAC countries and partners
    • Develop, evaluate and support the necessary investments to achieve the revenue and NIAT targets
    • Act proactively on developing and managing plans and governing structures for the major global insurance initiatives
    • Collaborate with country heads to identify opportunities for improvement within PAC Insurance with focus on increased efficiencies, reduced costs and maximized revenues.
    • Work closely with the country teams in the diagnosis, design and deployment of key optimization initiatives that aligned with the Global insurance strategy.
    • Positively influence the country heads, insurance partners and the global insurance team towards the insurance goals. This is more than a project manager role, encompassing dimensions such as relationship, communication and influence that are crucial for the success of the strategy plan

  • Customer Value Proposition
    • Ensure and drive the strategic direction of Protection, Ecosystems and Assistance product lines for PAC Insurance for all the digital platforms across PAC identifying new Fintech and Target operational model transformation from new markets and opportunities for bundling banking/insurance/assistance products, leveraging the Bank's products, distribution, data and operations infrastructure
    • Identifying and evaluating potential new business and expansion opportunities, products, and services. This includes analysis and documentation of customer requirements, the capabilities of the proposed distribution structure, existing systems, analysis of customer needs versus complexity of products and financial sophistication of markets as presented through primary and secondary research sources inclusive of data analytics clusters. Developing trade-off against profitability and customer/sales/administrative complexity and cost with expected sales volumes in each market.
    • Identify, design and recommend initiatives to develop strategic competitive positioning, product design and pricing, operational efficiencies in distribution, administration and structure that leverage or enhance Bank competencies and market positioning, and meet business needs;
    • Provide independent challenge and input to insurance units and countries with respect to existing and new value propositions.
    • Facilitate CVP workshops across the region to support the development of value propositions.

  • Digital Oversight
    • Oversees the Insurance Digital Transformation, shaping the vision and understanding of the target model and aligning PAC countries insurance and strategic partner's Roadmaps.
    • Identifies capabilities required to achieve target state and develops frameworks to measure countries' progress, providing guidance and influencing the digital plans and outcomes.
    • Communicates insurance transformation vision, strategy, and priorities to key stakeholders such as insurance partners, IB PMO and Finance.
    • Help remove roadblocks in order to achieve on plans.

  • Overall Accountabilities
    • Develop and keep strategic relationships by establishing, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and departments within Canadian and International Banking; collaborating on and developing proposals including project deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards, working with a diverse working group, with varying expertise and job levels; and building good working relations with vendors and technology partners, as applicable.
    • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
    • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of management experience, preferably in strategy / products / digital enablement engagement / retention / portfolio optimization roles
  • Experience in launching new customer centric offerings and optimizing engagement levers across channels with a focus on digital
  • Track record of managing large complex projects, which have significant business and operational components.
  • Working familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology
  • PMP Designation required
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the Insurance or Financial Industry
  • Thorough knowledge of standard project methodologies and experience leading projects with multiple resources in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to lead complex projects independently, managing timelines, tasks and overall deliverables.
  • A solid strategy development background including in-depth experience and demonstrated success in leading multi-disciplinary initiatives of varying sizes and complexity, efficiently and effectively, ensuring all elements of change are considered understood and managed.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize a number of concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating skills to gain from stakeholders and drive projects through to completion.
  • Strong collaborator with proven ability to lead and strategically influence
  • Excellent team leadership, coaching and management skills to effectively develop motivate and manage cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines and manage and influence others.
  • Results focused.
  • Excellent business analysis, problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
