Department Overview
TD Asset Finance (TDAF) provides dedicated relationship coverage to the larger commercial clients with asset-based loans. This client base is comprised of entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $30 million to $2 billion. The group consists of senior asset-based lending and commercial banking professionals who combine specific industry knowledge and extensive deal structuring experience to offer a full suite of customized credit and cash management solutions to meet the complex needs of our clients.

Job Description

The Director Business Development is responsible for originating new ABL opportunities by way of referral through proactive meetings with external centers of influence such as corporate finance groups and accounting firms, internal sources within our commercial banking centers, CNA and TD Securities as well as a direct calling program. The position is supported by a Senior Analyst who provides credit analysis and underwriting for new business. Director Business Development reports into the VP TDAF. This position is accountable to deliver a superior customer experience, drive profitable business growth, and achieve The Quest .

Requirements

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:
•Undergraduate business degree or related work experience

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience
•6+ years' experience in Commercial Banking with 3+ years asset-based financing knowledge strongly preferred
•Effective selling skills
•Solid credit skills
•Strong interpersonal and relationship skills coupled with analytical ability
•Ability to travel as required
