Reporting to Audit's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Director of Audit Technology & Transformation Strategy & Operations will work collaboratively with the CTO to support the effective execution of Audit's Technology and Transformation strategic priorities. including:

  • Embed technology initiatives by leading local activities and driving local priorities with an overall goal to embed a culture of technology across the audit practice
  • Build the region's capability to deliver high-quality, data-driven audits
  • Drive adoption and implementation of AI and digital solutions within the business, including Clara AI, Clara analytics leveraging Data Studio, Other analytics and automation.
  • Strengthen partner and manager readiness, including technology story-telling and AI literacy
  • Support market-facing technology activities, including pursuits and client-facing technology messaging
What you will do
Strategy/Business Planning
  • Supports the annual business planning process, identifying and prioritizing required work effort to continually advance our strategic pillars in conjunction with the portfolio leaders
  • Operationalize the Audit Technology strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, and delivery plans across all pillars
  • Ensure alignment between national priorities and regional priorities and execution, and transformation initiatives
  • Drive structured business planning cycles (annual, quarterly) tied to measurable outcomes
  • Develops & manages regular dashboard reporting mechanism to track progress, status of action items and risks of strategic initiatives
  • Meets regularly with CTO and National Audit S&O Managing Director to ensure we are advancing at right pace
  • Sets up and manages the regular cadence for Audit Technology & Transformation leadership meetings including preparation of meeting materials and pre-work
  • Project manages the portfolio of work to advance each respective strategic priority
  • Works fluidly with the priority owner/sponsor to identify and advance the 6-8 week, 6M and 12-18M desired outcomes
  • Creates work breakdown schedules to manage work streams and keep teams on track
  • Facilitates update meetings with key stakeholders and manages action items to drive progress
Audit Technology and Transformation
  • Work directly with the CTO to develop, and execute the Audit Technology and Transformation strategy and initiatives for National Audit including:
  • Partner with Transformation Office and Change leads to ensure successful rollout and adoption of technologies and capabilities
  • Embed structured change management approaches across initiatives
  • Monitor adoption metrics and intervene where execution gaps exist
  • Work with the Lead and ensure proper implementation of technologies/product development for the Audit practice
  • Lead project management for the Audit Technology and Transformation team ensuring that timelines and milestones are adhered to, targets are met, and risks are appropriately flagged
  • Provide support to the CTO to prioritize initiatives and continuously advance team objectives
  • Develop internal dashboards, benchmarks, and scorecards to track progress, status of action items and risks of strategic initiatives.
What you bring to the role
  • Leader with experience in strategy, operations, or transformation within a complex, matrixed environment
  • Strong understanding of technology-enabled transformation (e.g. data, AI, platforms)
  • Experience supporting senior executives (e.g. CTO, COO, or equivalent)
  • Clear understanding of functional and regional business priorities
  • Superior Project and Stakeholder Management skills with strong organizational ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative manner and deliver strategic ideas and solutions
  • Change leadership and organizational effectiveness expertise, ability to act as a change agent and integrator to connect the dots, assert ideas and influence others
  • Ability to resolve conflict and work under pressure and prioritize competing demands
  • Highly motivated and takes initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including good interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $162,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $150,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
