TELUS Payment Solutions provides Cash Management services as part of a commercial banking platform to the major Canadian financial institutions.
The portfolio includes white-label bill payment, tax filing and (large-value) funds transfer services. The application front-ends are written in either Java or ASP/ASP.NET and the database/back-end is on HP NonStop.
There are multiple ongoing development streams: new client onboarding, new features, regulatory compliance and production fixes, and a (future) parallel stream for platform modernization (migrate off of the HP NonStop) to Java/Linux.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
•Support Team Lead Position: Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Under support manager supervision, perform analysis, coding, testing, and implementation for both production problems as well as small development projects
•Investigate production problems as reported via clients, helpdesk, and operations through our internal HEAT system
•Represent team in weekly defect/ticket review meetings
•Represent team in weekly upcoming change request review meetings
•Perform coding respecting corporate standards
•Perform unit/integration testing
•Follow development methodology process and source control process for any fixes/projects
•Update any relevant documentation
•Diagnose and solve problems in applications
•Provide 3rd level on-call support via pager on a rotating schedule
•Good oral & written communications skills
•Problem solving skills
•Developer experience with C, Java, SQL, ODBC, JDBC, and Windows environments
•Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent working experience
•Experience in supporting similar applications in a high volume, online transaction processing, 24x7 environment
•Knowledge of and experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies Great-to-haves
•Experience with Funds Transfer or finance related development is an asset
•Experience with HP NonStop basics such as TACL, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, PATHWAY, COBOL, and SCOBOL is considered an asset
•Experience with Web Services is an asset
•Working knowledge of Golden Gate replication software
