Job Description
A career within Delivering Deal Value will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion. We conduct pre deal and confirmatory due diligence, execute large-scale enterprise wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations on a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas.
Purpose-led work you'll be part of
As a Deal and Value Creation Analytics leader, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Leading high profile analytics projects showcasing the drivers and equity story of a business either to management or to bidders to increase deal confidence
• Lead analytics projects to arm management with data driven insights to enable fact based decision making and drive value within the business
• Bringing structure and clarity to complex problems and business scenarios within tight deadlines
• Using your technical know-how and translating this for our non-technical stakeholders to support robust, evidence-based decisions
• Reviewing & creating reports and presentations and translating our findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Having experience and a passion for coaching, mentoring and upskilling within the team in current and new techniques
• Working with our Global Data Analytics community to further enhance our analytics proposition
• Building and developing strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally
• Leading on business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing client
Most importantly, we need you to become a business partner and strategic advisor to our clients, translating and communicating your analysis to help answer the critical commercial questions.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Experience connecting disparate sources of data, structuring and cleansing it using data manipulation tools ( e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power Query)
• Experience using data visualization tools ( e.g. PowerBI , Tableau)
• Completion of relevant professional designations/degree ( i.e. CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred
• Professional experience, ideally in management consulting focused on finance and analytics or in Corporate Development or M&A ( e.g. Private Equity).
• Technically- minded, and driven by solving complex problems. You will be working with some excellent analytical brains and varying stakeholders for our clients, and for this reason you will know how to explain the technical details to non-technical people.
• Use your commercial and financial skills to understand the drivers of a business, analyze their data and use this to provide clear insights and advice to our clients.
• Understand commercial drivers of a business and able to succinctly articulate this to stakeholders
• Able to articulate complex financial or technical concepts to non-finance staff
• Experienced in partnering with high profile clients at multiple levels
• Experience of performing business development, assisting in pitching to clients, developing relationships
• Proven capability to self motivate and learn
• Fluent in English and ability to speak in French language will be an asset.
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• The ability and willingness to travel around 20% within Canada and internationally
