As a Cyber Security Sales Engineer, you will be the technical presales solutioner working closely with Security Sales Specialists to represent the Security portfolio to our Enterprise and Mid-Market customers. This is a customer-facing solution development role that will require you to interface effectively with other TELUS stakeholders to qualify, demo, scope and develop solutions to address customer business needs, while mitigating risk and generating profitable revenue. The Sales Engineer also has an important role in knowledge transition to post-sales teams to enable successful project delivery.Here's how
•Partner with sales specialists on opportunity pursuit strategy, deal qualification and proposal developmentQualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Lead technical solution discovery, recommendations, and development
•Develop BOM, SOW and RFx responses
•Perform product demonstrations
•Maintain current working knowledge of security technology, trends and incidents
•Collaborate with peers and Product Management for ongoing enhancement of tools, processes, and service features
•Respected for your 5 years (at minimum) of sales engineering or equivalent experience in telecommunications, IT and/or or cyber security. Great-to-haves
•Experience with RFP responses, proposal development and statements of work.
•Experience, understanding and a working knowledge of a variety of security related standards, guidelines and best practices.
•Excellent communicator that includes: technical writing, demo and presentation skills and ability to relate technical security controls with business requirements and value
•Intermediate level understanding of IT systems and networking concepts as a foundation for the development of technical solutions.
•Ability to discover customer requirements through a consultative process.
•Navigates ambiguity, clearly communicates risks, anticipates issues, seeks clarification and sets clear expectations with stakeholders.
•Knowledge of varied security controls that span: Network, Endpoint, Data and Cloud
•Industry certifications in cyber security are an asset, such as ISACA CISA/CISM/CRISC, ISC2 CISSP, CSA CCSK; and/or vendor certifications from leading technology OEMs. A bit about us
