What you'll create and do

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
  • Be a key member of the FS Banking Digital Operations practice contributing to setting strategy, participating in the development of the market and providing advice across disciplines
  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of financial services businesses
  • Work with a team, to identify and discuss key issues with our clients and to identify potential opportunities
  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria
  • Manage and deliver projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials
  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching
  • Lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of exceptional services and outcomes to our clients
  • Be accountable for all aspects of project delivery, quality and economics
  • Develop innovative solutions for our clients complex business and technology issues
  • Collaborate on client issues and business opportunities with your colleagues locally, nationally and internationally
  • Maintain existing and develop new client relationships through active participation and presence in the local market
  • Continue to evolve and enhance your profile in the local market
  • Identify, pursue and close new opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinion from all, including quieter members of the team
  • Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
  • Initiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levels
  • Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realises they are required
  • Contribute technical knowledge in area of specialism
  • Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart
  • Navigate the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements
  • Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust

  • What you'll bring to this role

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • 5+ more years in one or more areas in financial services with a focus on Retail and Commercial Banking, business operations, technology and ideally a blend of consulting and domain knowledge
  • Deep knowledge of Financial Services domain with a focus on Banking Operations, and/or Retail and Commercial Lending
  • Experience in complex transformational and/or modernization programs built around technology solutions for financial services. 
  • Experience developing target operating models, process design, technology enablement strategies and roadmaps, including comfort with various frameworks and methodologies
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
  • Manage client relationships at peer levels and build new opportunities and offering
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with key FS clients with a focus on business relationships from front office to operations including technology functions
