Summary:

The position, reporting to the Team Lead, Client Reporting is responsible to support the efficient day to day operations of the Client Reporting administration team, and governance-related activities. This position contributes to maintaining high standards of client service, quality control and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Assistant is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for weekly production of the PIC Welcome Packages
  • Complete mailing of the monthly dealer reports to all financial institutions
  • Complete mailing of all regulatory and ad-hoc letters and packages
  • Respond to general information requests from within the company
  • Forward incoming general e-mails and faxes to the appropriate employee
  • Sort incoming mail, faxes and deliveries for distribution
  • Scanning and indexing of all legal and general documents
  • Managing distribution of regional mail
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.


Education & Experience:

  • Community college diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to communicate in English is required and a working knowledge of French is an asset.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficiency in using office equipment

  • Good understanding of financial products is an asset
