Step into your early career with confidence by joining WSP's Land Development and Municipal Engineering Team in Owen Sound. As a Civil Technologist, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting real infrastructure projects that shape communities-while learning alongside experienced engineers, technologists, and project managers.
This role is ideal for new graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to apply what they've learned, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. Your work will focus primarily on local projects in Owen Sound and surrounding areas, with opportunities to gain exposure to Northern Ontario and First Nation communities.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $57,500 - $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 - $72,300
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $52,000 - $69,000

Your Impact
- Support the preparation of AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings for municipal and land development projects
- Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical specifications for tender and construction
- Participate in field inspections to confirm design conformance and support construction activities
- Assist with surveying tasks, including topographic surveys, under guidance from senior staff
- Support contract administration activities, including shop drawing reviews and record drawings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs come together smoothly
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma from a three-year Civil Engineering Technology program
- Eligible or working toward Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation
- Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D through school, co-op, or early career experience
- Interest in municipal infrastructure, land development, and site servicing projects
- Willingness to learn OPSS, OPSD, and municipal design standards
- Comfortable working in both office and field environments
- Valid Ontario driver's license
