Position Details:

Position: Full Time (Temp) Security Guard

Site: Provincial Offence Courthouse | 5 Ray Lawson Blvd, Brampton

Pay Rate: $22.29 / an hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday (0830 - 1630)

OT Method: Employment Standards Act (ESA)

Posting Date: June 20th, 2025

Internal Closing Date: June 26th, 2025

External Closing Date: July 4th 2025

Schedule Example:
• Week 1 - Monday to Friday (0830 - 1630)
• Week 2 - Monday to Friday (0830 - 1630)
• Week 3 - Monday to Friday (0830 - 1630)
• Week 4 - Monday to Friday (0830 - 1630)

Essential Job Functions :
• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold...etc.)
• Always maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.
• Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Ensures proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, client and Paladin leadership team
• Completing mobile patrols diligently
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
• Ensuring any deficiencies with the vehicle are reported to Paladin leadership team
• Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
• Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application.
• Represent Paladin Security, The City of Brampton and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation of City of Brampton
• Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws.
• Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/ concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible.
• Be courteous, and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client; City of Brampton.
• Respond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures.
Requirements:
• Must have Valid Ontario Security License
• WSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level C
• Must possess a valid G Class license with a minimum driving experience of 3 years
• Previous security experience is an asset
• Pervious mobile experience is required
• Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
• Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.
• Proficient in English (both oral and written)
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma/GED
