Site Description:
City of Brampton is a diverse, cosmopolitan, and vibrant place to be. From a population of 523,911 in 2011, Brampton is now Canada's second fastest growing and 9th largest city. You will encounter in the course of your duties, encounter numerous situations which cannot be covered by Standing Orders, site specific security operations procedures which outlines the duties and contain property and facility information. For this reason, it is imperative that you have a proven ability to use your own initiative and judgement and can represent the City of Brampton in a firm but courteous manner.

Position: Full-Time Security Guard
Site: City of Brampton - 175 Sandalwood Parkway West
Hours: Continental Nights ( 1900-0700hrs)
Payrate: $20.91/hr.
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Schedule Example:
• Week 1 - Night - Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat

• Week 2 - Night - Sun, Wed-Thu

• Week 3 - Night - Mon-Tues, Fri-Sat

• Week 4 - Night - Sun, Wed-Thu

Key Responsibilities:
• Access Control: ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted on site.
• Contractor Sign-In: Logging contractors and visitors
• Patrols: Conducting regular interior and exterior patrols to identify and report any safety, security, or maintenance concerns.
• Incident Response: Responding to any security related incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
• General Oversight: Maintaining a visible and professional security presence and providing assistance to staff and visitors as needed

Prerequisites:
• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• Minimum 3 years in security, law enforcement, or a related field experience.
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
