Caregivers

Special needs woman or male with epilepsy looking for a personal assistant/companion to work with her in her home. This is a one year contract that could potentially continue on longer. Shifts needing coverage: Saturdays 10am-6pm and occasional shifts in the week to cover other staff member holiday or sick days. Duties include: -light housework -distributing medication -cooking/meal preparation -various activities and events in the community -companionship REQUIREMENTS A background in health care would be great (caregiver, RA, nurse) but not necessary. Ideal candidate lives on the North Shore, speaks fluent english, has CPR/First aid, has experience working with people with special needs, able to follow a care plan, some computer skills (filling out time sheets and daily logs), and a calm disposition. Please note there is a very friendly dog (Labrador) in the home. There will be a criminal record check at employers expense.
