Senior Solution Architect

Role Description: As a member of the BMO Capital Markets Platform Strategy & Delivery Management team, the Senior Solution Architect, primarily

• A hands-on Capital Markets technology expert leading the design and supporting the implementation of core trading and client systems.
• The role requires deep understanding of typical capital markets business processes, business data and business systems.
• Business scope of the role requires specialization in one of the following: client lifecycle, trade processing, or reporting and data services.
• Experience with the architecture and design of modern real time, data intensive, event driven, highly available, multi-region enterprise systems. Industry experience across various trading products a plus.
• Experience with common capital markets technologies including Java and .Net, Oracle and MS SQL, Linux and Windows, full stack infrastructure and automation, Kafka and native AWS services.
• Leads end-to-end technology solutions and high-level designs for key initiatives in collaboration with other architects and in alignment with bank's target architecture and standards for Capital Markets
• Drives technology strategy and roadmaps
• Multi-vendor integration design including infrastructure experience
• Technical facilitator bringing various technology groups and vendors for solution design and execution to meet project timeline but keeping strategic focus
• Produce project level and program level technical documentations (solution options, solution architecture, high-level end-to-end design flow) collaborating with other technical leads
• Assists with and contributes to function area-specific target architecture, transition architectures, and technology roadmap
• Evaluate multiple solution design options, working with a multi-disciplined team to design integrated solution architecture across application areas and helping the project adhere to Enterprise standards
• Document high-level design and hand-off work to next group in the development pipeline
• Experience with typical industry architecture and engineering processes.
• Excellent solution architecture engagement and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication, written and IT client-facing skills.
• High level of personal drive and motivation to be successful

Addition Info:

• Capital Markets business systems experience,
• Cloud architecture and migration expertise, with AWS strongly preferred
• Solution architecture expertise in driving requirements, architectural designs, review and support for project teams
• Experience with real time trade and operational data integration
• University degree
• Strong written / verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with developers all the way up to the "C" level
• Capital Markets solution experience is desirable
