Overview

We have an exciting, new opportunity in our Real Property & Workplace Services (RPWS) department for a Business Planning Coordinator to join the team!

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating RPWS's strategic, tactical, and operational plans.

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating RPWS's strategic, tactical, and operational plans.

What you'll do

As a Business Planning Coordinator, you will:
  • Lead and support the development of strategic plans, business cases, and divisional plans.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across corporate and divisional planning strategies.
  • Establish benchmarks and performance measures to evaluate service quality, operational stability and efficiency, and facilities effectiveness.
  • Provide expertise in corporate real estate planning and space optimization.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and technology innovations.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align facility strategies with business needs.
  • Research and recommend facility technology solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

We're looking for someone who can:
  • Bring solid knowledge of facilities management, real estate planning, and space optimization.
  • Can interpret and align corporate goals with divisional plans and initiatives.
  • Have experience leading projects that improve systems, processes, or service delivery.
  • Enjoy solving complex business problems with strategic thinking and data analysis.
  • Communicate and present information clearly and concisely appropriate to the intended audience.
  • Independently manage changing priorities and frequent interruptions.

Your background and experience
  • Post-secondary degree including facilities management related courses
  • A minimum of six years of experience in areas of real estate, space, and Facilities Management solutions
  • Working knowledge of commercial property management practices relating to leasing and administration, budgeting, insurance and risk management, and client/tenant relations
  • A valid BC driver's license

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary: $44.87 - $56.55/hourly
