Department Overview Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.
Our
Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles, and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:
• Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization
• Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation
• Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more
Job Details Provide a range of business information management functions to support the various areas of data and
analytics. Works under general guidance of other senior team members in partnership with subject matter
experts to design, develop and support business information management solutions for the segment. As a
Business Information Management Co-op, you will:
• Provide solutions and knowledge on a diverse range of tasks
• Be engaged in business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions
• Design and implement business data information management frameworks
• Be engaged in testing of the technical information systems to ensure data integrity and systems functionality
• Leverage and/or develop your strong programming skills to develop a diverse range of data solutions and analyses, building your experience with very large datasets and big data technologies; assessing business information-related data requirements aligned to business needs and for specific data platforms, applications systems, and servers
• Collaborate with business and technology partners to resolve data issues and ensure requirements delivery and compliance (e.g., with enterprise framework, methodologies, financial controls, and other requirements)
• Participate fully as a member of a Scaled Agile pod, support a positive work environment that thinks like a customer, promotes quality and innovation, and ensure timely communication of issues
Job Requirements • Currently enrolled in either a recognized undergraduate degree majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics or related, with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.
• Statistical, mathematical, computer science, financial background or equivalent
• Proficiency in SQL plus at least one from: R, Python, Spark, SAS, Java or C/C++.
• Expertise in data warehousing, data visualization and knowledge of cloud data platforms and technologies.
• Expertise in ETL and databases, including relational and non-relational.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of competitor and market trends
• Proficient to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
• Proficient to work cooperatively and independently as part of a Scaled Agile pod
• Effective communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to build positive relationships across teams
• Act as a brand champion for our business area / function and TD, both internally and externally
