What To Consider Before Applying

•This role requires the candidate to be fluent in French and English
•This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
•The Canada Acceleration Centre (CAC) services all Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary, and overtime is required

Purpose-led work you'll be part of

The Bilingual French Tax Team Manager is responsible for full oversight of all functions within the Canada Acceleration Centre (CAC) Admin and Compliance team, with a focus on ensuring high-quality deliverables and acting as a trusted liaison between the Local Office Tax Practice. The role is responsible for the delivery of quality tax services and the oversight and the development of subject matter expertise and technical capability of the Tax French Compliance team.

As a Manager, you'll be part of a team that helps deliver high quality, client service excellence and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Work collaboratively and act as a key point of contact with engagement teams in local PwC offices in the delivery of tax compliance services
•Coach others, recognize their strengths, and take ownership of teams work to ensure high-quality work; accountable for overall team performance
•Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectation
•Proactively resolve issues and support teams to work effectively, even during times of change and uncertainty
•Provide feedback to the leadership team regarding opportunities to continuously improve current policies and procedures and recommend potential changes and new services for AC
•Responsible for all aspects of supporting the annual performance management process for the Admin. & Compliance French team; including delivery of year end compensation/ratings

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• Strong technical background and broad-based tax compliance skills as a result prior tax compliance experience (T1 and T2 returns)
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
• Ability to think critically and own initiatives
• Ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and a willingness to try new/challenging things
• Ability to identify, negotiate with and influence business partners
• Systematic problem solver, implementing solutions to solve root-cause problems
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and management skills
• Fluent in French and English
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
