The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in JavaScript, Playwright/Cypress, and Postman for REST API validation to drive functional validation, test case management, and defect tracking in Jira and TestRail/Xray. This role requires a strong understanding of regression cycles, CI/CD integration, and maintaining comprehensive test coverage for applications and DevEx web portals, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Meaningful work you'll be a part of
As an Azure QA Engineer, you will champion software quality by leading both manual and automated testing across UI and API layers. Leveraging your expertise in JavaScript, Playwright/Cypress, and Postman, you'll ensure every release meets the highest standards for functionality and reliability. Your hands-on approach to functional validation and defect management will be central to delivering robust, high-quality solutions.
• You'll drive continuous improvement by designing and executing regression cycles, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining comprehensive test coverage for applications and DevEx web portals. This work will help teams deliver faster, safer, and more resilient software, embedding quality gates that block non-conformant builds and supporting a culture of excellence.
• Through meticulous test case creation, execution, and defect tracking in Jira and TestRail/Xray,you'llprovide stakeholders with clear, actionable reporting. Your insights will inform decisions, elevate product quality, and ensure that every release is backed by reliable data and continuous feedback.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Led manual and automated testing for UI and API layers using JavaScript, Playwright/Cypress, and Postman, ensuring robust functional validation and defect tracking with Jira and TestRail/Xray.
• Managed regression cycles and CI/CD integration, maintaining comprehensive test coverage and embedding quality gates to block non-conformant builds across applications and DevEx web portals.
• Authored and executed high-signal test cases, prioritized coverage for critical user flows, and delivered actionable reporting to stakeholders for continuous quality improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex, ambiguous data problems in a production environment, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Advanced automation and scripting: Deep expertise in JavaScript, Playwright, and Cypress for building scalable, maintainable automated test suites across UI and API layers. Experience with custom frameworks, parallel execution, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Comprehensive API testing: Mastery of Postman for REST API validation, including environment management, data-driven testing, and contract/schema checks. Proven ability to automate API tests and integrate them with build/release workflows.
• Test management and reporting: Advanced use of Jira and TestRail/Xray for test case management, defect tracking, and actionable reporting. Skilled in designing regression cycles, maintaining high test coverage, and embedding quality gates to block non-conformant builds across applications and DevEx web portals.
• This role does not require professional engineering licensure and is not classified as a formal engineering position under provincial regulatory definitions. While individuals with a P.Eng designation are welcome to apply, the responsibilities of this role do not involve the practice of professional engineering as defined by applicable legislation.
