--Farrell LLP (allied with Deloitte LLP) located in Canada is currently seeking US Attorneys at the Associate level to join our high-volume business immigration team in Canada!

What will your typical day look like?As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for the following:
- Preparing and/or overseeing the preparation and filing of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications, Requests for Evidence, Motions to Reopen, Requests for Information, etc.
- Assessing eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the US
- Providing consultations and critical subject matter expertise on complex case-specific and strategic matters to develop and recommend approaches that mitigate risk and provide timely solutions
- Conducting in-depth research and remaining up to date on changes in immigration law and practice and drafting client alerts and memos on important developments
- Leading and/or partnering on technical project/program work with a focus on compliance and/or operational excellence
- Conducting ongoing internal reviews/audits of immigration data, processes and collateral
About the teamOur team structure is intentionally flat and collaborative. Each of our valued team members is responsible for owning a role-appropriate account function in addition to their casework. All team members are expected to roll up their sleeves and dig in to drive QA and operational excellence at every level. You are someone with:
- Strong academic credentials and an active license to practice law in the US (or registered to take a US state bar exam in 2022)
- Strong operational and analytical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent attention to detail - ability to effectively communicate with legal professionals and non-legal stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills and interest in contributing to the success of the team
- Ability to adapt to changes in law, policy, process, and strategy quickly
- Willingness to live and work within Canada on a fulltime basis
