Data Governance Technology Manager

Job Description

The Data Governance Technology Manager will be responsible for supporting the roll out, build and ongoing maintenance of a new Data & AI Governance and Quality Technology platform, across all firm data. They will support the development and maturity of our data governance framework and standards across the firm within the new Enterprise Data Governance technology. This role is integral to ensuring the searchability, enablement, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data for the firm to enable data use. They will serve an important role within the Data Trust and Governance team, within our Chief Data and Analytics Office. The role will report to our Data Trust and Governance Principal. The ideal candidate will be a technical and strategic thinker with a strong background in data management and governance, with keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. The selected candidate will have experience deploying Collibra or similar technologies for Data Governance and Data Management.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Data Governance Technology Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead ing and support the implementation of data governance technologies in collaboration with the Data Architecture and Engineering team

• Enabl ing and maintain the Data Governance framework and data use capabilities by building and supporting data governance technology platforms and practices for the firm, including Data Quality initiatives

• Implement ing and monitor ing data governance and data quality practices, ensuring compliance with established standards and identifying opportunities for improvement

• Carry ing out the data governance and quality tool configurations and integrations, collaborat ing within the Data Governance team to align data standards with overall data governance policies and procedures

• Develop ing and maintain ing Data Quality practices, conducting regular assessments to identify and address data quality issues across data domains and establishing metrics and reporting mechanisms

• Collaborat ing with stakeholders across the organization to ensure understanding and adherence to data standards, providing guidance and support for data governance and quality improvement initiatives

• Develop ing and deliver ing training programs to educate staff on data governance and data quality best practices, and promote the adoption and effective use of data governance tools

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• Experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or a related field

• Relevant certifications in data management, data governance and data quality, such as DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), EDM Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM) or Lean Six Sigma, Technology certifications in Collibra or Informatica are advantageous

• Hands-on experience working with leading Data Governance technologies such as Collibra (preferred), Informatica, or any other relevant solutions

• Proven track record of developing and implementing data management and data quality practices and standards

• Experience working within a Data Governance team is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices

• Proficiency in data governance and quality tools and technologies, such as Collibra (preferred), Informatica, or similar platforms

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards

• Knowledge of database management systems

• Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify data quality issues
